Session Aims & Highlights (2022-04-19)

Main aims

1. Targets.  Acquire images of a selection of variable stars, nearby stars, comets & deep sky targets as allowed by time & conditions.

Highlights

•  Targets.  16 targets successfully acquired (images from a further 4 targets were rejected due to poor sky transparency/cloud)
•  TheSky6.  TheSky6 program unexpectedly closed/crashed which prevented the acquisition of further targets

• 001001_Fits Summary not created after 20s.  Message '001001_Fits Summary.xls doesn't seem to have been created after 20s'  shown when trying to create Ssession's Fits Summary file.  Not sure what caused the delay (slow user response ?).  Threshold for message increased from 20s to 30s in AstroMain 3.50.11.

• Fits Summary macro 'CopyFilesForAnalysis2' created a photometry folder with the name 'Fits_S001_3x3' instead of 'Fits_S1001_3x3'.   This is a teething issue related to moving from S999 to S1000+.    Fixed in Fits Summary (CCD_Session_Summary.xls)

Small Defects

• AltitudePlan chart not showing Moonrise and highest Moon plus phase.   Max Moon Altitude during S1001 session is < 10 deg. Does this have anything to do with the issue ?   Moon details not shown on live AltitudePlan or the AltitudePlan initially produced on Development Computer, however AltitudePlan created on Development Computer 2 days later showed Moon details ok (AstroPlan 1.29.14).   Proposal is to close issue for now but monitor future session for any repeat of the problem.

• When copying a target in AstroPlan its new status should be set to 'To Observe' if the original target status was 'Completed'.
