Main aims

1. Targets.  Acquire images of a selection of variable stars, nearby stars, comets & deep sky targets as allowed by time & conditions.

• Anomalous dome slew to Near Zenith Focus Field (23:57). A Session Alert was generated at 23:57:34 for 'Anomalous Dome Slew - Dome slew resumed at Az 44.6°'  and logfile shows the message 'Resetting bDomeSlewStopped as dome slew resumed at Az 44.6° . DomePath shows dome slewing from Az 41.7° to Az 42.9°, then stopping before resuming again and moving to final Az  161.1°.   Activity log wasn't running but the time line is clear

  The recently added code in AstroMain 3.51.13 that calls 'AbortSlew'  prior to the call to slew scope (AstroMain in 3.51.13) , should be modified to include a hold that waits for the dome to actually stop slewing (ie waits to see Slewing=False) before proceeding.  This is to ensure that Dome is receptive to

Small Defects

• Total delay associated with DomeSlew Holdups is written incorrectly in logfile.  An issue with the reporting of Total delay value was corrected in AstroMain 3.51.14 but was only applied to the Report File. Bug relating to writing of Total Delay to logfile is fixed in AstroMain 3.51.15..

• Routine called RunRotateScopeIntoWind() is misleading as it related to rotating dome into wind not the scope. Routine renamed as RunRotateDomeIntoWind() in AstroMain 3.51.15..

• Review use of RotateDomeInto Wind during a Session's Equilibration stage, understand source of the wind direction used.  Due to current issue with weather station's Wind Direction sensor (not all directions are measured correctly) the wind direction from the sensor is likely to be wrong,  if wind direction is taken from forecast that may or may not be suitable for local conditions  Check what source is used. Consider changing 'Slew to into Wind' into a session option. (default - not used).   ObsManager uses Env.AvWindDirection for RotateDomeIntoWind() routine.   This is determined from WeatherData.WindDirection which comes WeatherData.StationWindDirection  from (unless wind data is frozen where it comes from  Synopsis.CurrentWindDirection instead.  In view of this RotateDomeIntoWind() routine and routines that consider using it are changed to use VM.UseCurrentlyWindDirection to control whether Env(Synopsis).CurrentWindDirection or Env.AvWindDirection is used. It's been decided to disable RotateDomeIntoWind feature in AstroMain 3.51.5+ for time being, this is controlled by a local variable bUseRotateDomeIntoWind in PerformDomeMonitoring() routine which is hard coded as false.

• Stop logging of 'TP2 Record In' messages to session's logfile.  Logging of TP2 Record In interfers with general flow of log messages (for example in the middle of a ScopePath or a DomePath table) and isn't necessary at present (previous issues resolved).  Relevant code line has been commanted out in AstroMain 3.51.5  Line can be included again in future release or made available via a future checkbox option.
