Session Aims & Highlights (2019-03-18)

Main aims

1. Mixed Targets - Image selection of targets including Variable Stars, Comets and Deep Sky Targets
2. GRB Optical Afterglow Project - Check automated reaction of the observatory to a test GRB Alert Notice from GCN Network
3. Software & Systems  - Check stability of software and presence of any side effects following ongoing enhancements to AstroMain and associated support programs.

Highlights

• Observatory responded quickly to two GRB Test Alerts by immediately slewing to the GRB Test Location.  

Lowlights

• Job queue froze whilst performing a telescope Jog.
• Somewhat windy conditons

• Dew / PowerBox Voltage Drop.  Resolved 2019-04-22 by the introduction of a new 16 AWG Extension Cable to reduce the voltage drop going to the UPB powerbox, allowing dew heaters to be run at full power whilst still providing 11.9V input voltage to the UPB (see Pegasus UPB - 16 AWG Extension Cable, 2019-04-22)
